The situation
An Australian client managed product listings through a process that needed repeated manual work. Creating and publishing each listing took time, and the same kind of work came round again and again.
The challenge
Information had to be prepared, structured and moved through several steps before a listing could go live.
People could do this work, but it was not a good use of their time.
Where we started
We looked at the whole process, not one small step. The aim was to reduce manual work from the moment the information is provided to the moment a finished listing is ready.
What we built
We connected the steps into one automated workflow. Information is processed, prepared and moved through the listing process with much less manual involvement.
The difference
A process that took around 20–30 minutes can now be done in under one minute.
Based on the available project information, the ongoing cost of the previous workflow fell from roughly $150 a month to around $10.
The bigger picture
This is a simple example of how we approach automation. We look for work that people repeat, understand why it is done, and then build a system that handles the repetitive parts.
The goal is not to automate everything. It is to give people their time back where automation makes sense.
